can visit our islands from
Athens, for oneday excuursions
or for vacations. In Aegina
and Agistri island you can
go only by ship, and in Poros,
Hydra and Spetses you can
go either by ship or your
car .
From the airport "Elefterios Venizelos" you go to the port of Pireus with the Subway (Line 3) until Monastiraki station.
From there you change Line, and take the Train to rech Pireus.
The total trip is less than one hour. If you want you can catch a taxi from the airport to the port of Pireus, or take the bus line.
HOW TO REACH AEGINA OR AGISTRI ISLAND
Α. By ferry boat
From the port of Piraeus there are daily depertures of Ferry Boats for Agistri or Aegina island. Ferry Boats accepts cars and motorbikes, apart from passengers. The trip lasts 1 hour & 15 min. for Aegina and 1 hour & 45 min. for Agistri island.
The ferry boat reaches first the port of Aegina island and then the port of Agistri island. Attention, there are ferry boats that go only to Aegina and do not continue to Agistri.

Β. By Flying dolphins
From the port of Piraeus there are daily depertures
of Flying dolphins. The
trip lasts approximately
40 minutes for Aegina and 55
minutes for Agistri.

Visitors can come from Aegina to Agistri island or versa with the ferry boat that reaches the ports: Piraeus - Aegina - Agistri.
Or else you can move to one island to another with sea taxi or with AGISTRI EXPRESS, that departs frequently and its departure date are in the ports of Aegina or Agistri.

HOW TO REACH POROS ISLAND
Α. By ferry boats
From the port of Piraeus there are daily depertures of Ferry Boats for Poros that accept cars and motorbikes, apart from passengers. The Ferry boat approaches first the port of Aegina, then Methana and then Poros. The trip lasts 2 hours and 30 min approximately.

Β. By τα flying dolphinsFrom the port of Piraeus there are daily depertures of Flying dolphins, that take only passengers. The trip lasts approximately 1 hour with the flying dolphin and about 1 hour and 20 minutes with the flying cat.

Each day you
can catch the 4:20p.m. bus to Galata,
which is located across from
Poros, from the Peloponnesou
Bus Station (210-5124910-11-12).

D. By car
If you own or rent a car, you can easily get from Athens to Poros in 2 hours. Through Attiki Odos, get on the National Road Athens – Corinth and make a left after the canal heading towards Epidauros (Corinth Exit B - Epidavros).
Drive for about 30 minutes and you reach the intersection of Epidaurus. Before getting there, you will see signs to Poros or Spetses. At the junction turn right and immediately drive under the bridge and make a left.
Then, follow the new road, making sure you don’t miss the sign to Poros. At this point, slightly turn left for Poros and you will reach Galata in 25 minutes, via the coastal road, from where you can hop on a small ferry to Poros.
The small ferry departures run every 30 minutes and the fare is about 4 €, including the driver.
The road is an extension of the highway, good enough for the entire journey, with an average speed, it takes about 2 hours to get there.
There is a big public parking, which is free, where you can leave your car in case you want to go across Poros by boat in 5 minutes. The fare costs about 1 € per person.

From the port of Piraeus there are daily depertures of Flying dolphins, for Hydra, which accepts only passengers. There are daily departures according the season. The trip lasts 1 hour and 30 min. for flying dolphins and approximately 1 hour and 45 min. for the flying cats.

If you own or rent a car, you can
easily get from Athens to Hydra in
2 hours and 45 minutes. Through

Metochi is a location opposite from Hydra, where there is a free public parking to leave your car and then come across to Hydra with daily departures of the boats "FREEDOM Ι", "FREEDOM ΙΙ" & FREEDOM III , that lasts only 12 minutes. From Metochi you can also reach Hydra or vise versa, with a sea taxi.

you reach Kranidi and then Porto Cheli, where continuing

Your trip from Athens to Kosta will approximately last 2 hours and 45 minutes.Kosta is an area after Porto Cheli and opposite Spetses, where you can leave your car in the free public parking there and by taking a sea taxi or a small boat you can reach Spetses.
